Job Summary

  • The Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Unit is accountable for the safe, individualized, efficient, and effective management and delivery of nursing care for hospitalized inpatients and hospital-based outpatients. 
  • A sincere desire to provide the highest quality of daily care and to develop meaningful relationships with our patients.
  • The ability to provide care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with your team.
  • Secondary department: ICU/CCU

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Licensed as an RN in MN & BLS required upon hire,
  • PALS & ACLS certifications required within 90 days of hire,
  • Other certifications per policy according to area worked. Additional certifications may be required based on work assignments

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am; 56 hours every 2 weeks
    • Every third weekend
    • One summer and one winter holiday shift per year
    • Occasional call time
